With COVID19 looming over every one’s head this year we approached the 2020 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show without many expectations, not sure of the exhibitor turnout and specially not sure of the attendee turnout.
Downsizing our usual impressive booth, Argos Nautic tenders decided to show up a bit more conservative in our display, and choose to focus on our usual show stopping Rib Tender Models. Showcasing the 305 and 396 Yachting outboard tenders, the 330 Jet tender, and images of the rest of our fleet, the 300 Jet tender, 450 and 515 Diesel tenders, and soon to launch RS Light tender.
This show proved to be exactly why we love boat shows, the top quality audience that FLIBS usually draws to the Bahia Mar Marina turned out and shattered our expectations, although the typically massive show is indeed impressive, our potential clients were more likely to walk by our booth fresh and in the mood to talk about the specifics due to the reduced size in FLIBS this year increasing our sales and leads unexpectedly.
Safety measures were implemented throughout the entire show, mask wearing, hand satiation stations and social distancing were respected throughout the 5 days. But furthermore, the very impressive technology measures like the infrared temperature sensor cameras on the entrance and enforcement measures of the safety team reminding attendees and exhibitors to wear masks made the Argos Nautic team always feel safe and supported. Informa has proven itself once again, and as businesses we support each other even in trying times.
Argos Nautic thanks the Informa team for a great show, but even more so the show attendees, for showing up open, willing to be safe and move the industry forward. This has been one for the books, not only because of COVID19 and what this has entailed, but for the surpassed expectations as it has been one of Argos Nautic's greatest boat shows.
